Who has not noticed prices on food going one way….UP! Well I have noticed Aldi was promoting they would not raise prices as inflation rises! So is this true in your area if you shop there? I have noticed that the prices and sizes of items have not changed!

I ask that question because we are finishing the first quarter of the year soon and it’s time to check in! I’ll go first😂 ! When it comes to cooking and eating healthy for my body and situation I feel a little stagnant. Last summer needed to increase protein, so I did, this year more iron increasing foods less protein, I feel like I am about to head to green juices, protein shakes and just one solid meal 🤔 that’s just the frustration of stagnation talking 🤣 Nevertheless I am still progressing, digging in deeper to how I feel before and after meals which is playing heavily on my digestion. Some positives I know for sure, water and being gluten free regularly is best for me…not easy this year because of dealing with different stresses I crave sweet bread items, but I am still progressing!
So no matter what, the idea stays the same, find a way to progress! Study, learn and live it, whatever it may be on your health journey so you can be your best happiest self, Happy Eating!

How has your February 2022 been treating you? I feel like winter blues hit me this winter for the first time in a while, so I did some thorough self care! Then I got to cooking and shopping too! I have been wanting some maple syrup for a while but have you seen the price!?!? I am a frugal spender 🤑 so I would just look 👀 and walk by, but this time I said, “ You deserve to treat yourself! “ So here is my new best friend, as you can clearly see the bottle is not full😂 Definitely watch the grocery haul in the link above! If you are plant based do you find getting a variety of protein difficult? I sometimes struggle to get it right so when I find something new I definitely want to share! So I was given golden split peas, which I never had before so they sat in my cabinet for about two months. Finally decided to cook them thinking they should be like lentils but no they are not.
